Technology in Healthcare

I believe that technology is helping when it comes to overcoming communication barriers in healthcare. From what I have learnt so far, advancing technology has benefited many individuals in the healthcare setting.

Today there are so many new ways to communicate efficiently with others, such as through telehealth networks. I have learnt that this type of technology increases communication by allowing patients to communicate with nurses from their homes and at any time.

Another way that barriers have decreased in the healthcare setting is through the use of electronic health records. Because information can now be accessed so fast, there is more time spent communicating with patients. These advances in technology have been utilized in healthcare to benefit communication methods.
