From my experiences as a nursing student this semester, I have been able to understand the meanings behind what nurses do in their everyday practice. I have learnt that nursing does not only involve treating an individual’s illness, it is about how the nurse affectively cares for the patient and reflects on that experience.
This concept will be taken with me when I go to clinical next semester because I know of the influence a nurse’s actions have on each patient. I now know how important it is for a nurse to understand the needs of the patient. I will go into clinical acknowledging that I must be able to utilize caring concepts towards my patients.

This semester has made a big impact on all the nursing students, I think! I'm glad our views of nursing have changed from cold and sterile to caring and client-focused! :)
I think you are definetly right about the importance of reflection. At first I didn't think it was so useful but now I realize how much it helps to look back and think about what could of been done differently. I can tell that you will make a great nurse!
